"Scotch Shrunk"

Scotch Shrunk designs apparel for the kids that aren't satisfied with jeans and tee-shirts. The charismatic fashion line has brought in bright colours, exciting materials, and "grown up" silhouettes that allow any kid to express themselves, the way they want to, everywhere they go. The pieces are "adult" priced, if you know what I mean, but the fit in the materials allow the kids to grow without sacrificing a tailored fit. Take a look at the Amsterdam Blauw look book and try to argue that these are not the coolest kids around.

"Officine Panerai"

"Panerai was born in 1860 in Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, the art and the science which have made Italy famous throughout the world for its creativity and genius. Values that Officine Panerai expresses through its watches, which it reinterprets over time with passion, technical excellence and exclusive design.

A watch-making laboratory, highly specialized since the nineteenth century, supplier of measurement and precision instruments to the Italian Navy in the nineteen hundreds, fine watchmaker and international brand in the twenty-first century. The deep-rooted links with the world of the sea, the true heritage of the Brand, bestow on each watch a sporting character that is unique and authentic, like the history of Panerai."

" Panerai’s history marks time itself. Its roots can be traced back to when it was the exclusive supplier of high-precision instruments to the Royal Italian Navy in the early nineteen hundreds.

Riding on submersible torpedoes, the commandos were the protagonists of epic endeavours.
On their wrists, they wore the precision and luminescence of Panerai Radiomir and Luminor models. "

"Alexander McQueen"

Designers and Fashion Houses around the world will be revealing their full Autumn-Winter 14/15 lookbooks within a matter of days! For now, we will just have to get our fix from the normally underwhelming & underdeveloped pre-collections by the industries top designers. I, as most people, would overlook these particular releases but Sarah Burton, creative director at Alexander McQueen, has decided that this year she is going to make a serious statement for the label.

Pieces from this look break some of the most important unspoken fashion laws but apparently when they are broken by Sarah Burton, it becomes a fashion breakthrough. An oversized knitted wool jumper under a tailored silk jacket? Pleated, tailored, and cropped trousers with a pair of unstructured velvet slippers? What kind of nightmare is this? Well if your looking at the same picture I am (above) then we can most likely agree that society would be a much better place if everyone would be this creative with the way they dress.

Aran Skull Knit Sweater - $1'085.00
Wool Mohair Trousers - $665.00
Velvet Skull Slipper - $765.00

This is my absolute favorite look from the Alexander McQeen AW14-15 pre-collection. Military inspired and overly structured, its such a statement. A pop of fire truck red; a pair of healed, polished leather boots; and a striking leather biker jacket that appears to be too heavy and too thick to be worn anywhere except maybe Antartica. The oversized lapels on the jacket and the coat work as a beautiful contrast to the tailored trousers and tight fitting sweater.

Camouflage Skull Knit Sweater - $850.00
Skull Leather Biker Jacket - $5'420.00

Spots... Big. White. Round. Spots. Thank you Sarah Burton for giving men a polka-dot piece that can be worn on a an any-day-basis. (Not just to your uncle Billy's summer pool party.) Did you just picture overweight, hairy chested men and sunburned children with popsicle stained mouths? Because that's the disturbing thought that just came to my mind. No gentlemen! This is the shirt you wear to the Victoria Secret pool party at the Fountainebleu on Miami Beach; to the evening charity gala that your boss is hosting in Cannes; or to your mums house for a Sunday Roast. Why Not?

"Salvatore Ferragamo"

Salvatore Ferragamo; a company of exceptionally high design standards. Luxury is the base of all that is produced with the Ferragamo label. Taking a look at the Spring and Summer 2014 runway collection, we see a collaboration between earthy tones and vibrant hues, asymmetry and raw cuts, as well as formal aesthetics and casual silhouettes. Minimalism and the male figure are harmoniously combined in the fabulous show by the Florentine fashion house. Lets break down our 2 favorite looks from this seasons runway show.

Look 1: A beautiful single breasted, camel colored driving coat layered upon a dash cut sweater and crisp oxford shirt. The camel color is contrasted by a white print design that seems to form the number one. The printed design bleeds onto the lapel of the coat where the sweater is covered. Camel colored trousers in a slim, tailored finish complete the look.
Look 3: A formally tailored yet casually styled windbreaker jacket that seems to be built layer upon layer serves as the showpiece for this look. The jacket is paired with crisp, white Bermuda shorts and a white silk, crew-neck tee.

"AMI"

The AMI Fall/Winter 2014-15 collection by Alexandre Mattiussi is absolutely spectacular. AMI is known to present a strong urban aesthetic in most of their past collections, but this one seems to target a more formal approach. They have ultimately created a whole new sub-genre of fashion that the designer has named "formal grunge." Each piece takes an idea from a tailored silhouette and merges it into elements of their already acclaimed grunge designs. Bright colors and bold patterns paired with architectural lines and asymmetrical cuts are the most seen pairing from this collection. Scroll past the video to see our favorite looks in a still frame. In case anyone who is watching this 37 piece show just happens to be as obsessed with the music choice as we were; the music information and the links to download them on various music applications are listed at the bottom of the post.

"Giuseppe Zanotti"

Giuseppe Zanotti has long been acclaimed as a leader in the footwear industry. They target young adults who appreciate a masculine based design that is cut with slight femininity. Giuseppe Zanotti designs are  meant to be worn as the statement pieces of the look. Bold, formally exuberant, and unorthodox are all words that describe the personality that bleed from each of the pieces. Take a look below at our favorites from the Spring-Summer 2014 collection.
